Representatives from No Arena in Chinatown Coalition joined together to create a parody music video encouraging public opposition to the proposed arena that billionaires want to build in the heart of our city, which would threaten the existence of Chinatown and small businesses in the surrounding area.

Las Madres de Berks

“Las Madres de Berks” documentary shares the testimonials of four mothers that were detained for two years with their children at The Berks County Residential Center, a family prison in Pennsylvania. 2020.

Dizhsa Nabani Web Series

Dizhsa Nabani is a documentary web series that explores the relationship between identity, language, and daily life in the Valley Zapotec community of San Jerónimo Tlacochahuaya. It was collaboratively produced with Haverford College’s DocuLabs Program.

Love Philly Food

Love Philly Food is a local media initiative that aims to share the stories of the people who so actively and imaginatively design Philadelphia’s world-class food culture. In short, character-centered vignettes, Love Philly Food digs deep into the stories, histories and cultures that infuse and enrich the art of Philadelphia food. The series was produced by Laura Deutch, Aggie Ebrahimi Bazaz, Andrew Bateman and Oscar Molina in 2015.

A portrait of David Ogle and his 3rd generation broom shop in Gatlinburg, TN. Produced during a Residency at Smoky Mountain National Park in May, 2014. This is one of a series of short videos highlighting the history and craft culture of the area.

What We Sow

Produced for Mural Arts as part of the What We Sow, 70 x 7 The Meal, act XXXIV, exploring the social and civic foundation of mural traditions by addressing the relationship between local communities, regional ecologies, global economies, and the politics of food production. This video series profiled farmers cultivating heirloom fruits and vegetables in the region.

During a Residency at Elsewhere in Greensboro, NC, my work with the Interactive Resource Center led me to meet Don Ames, a scroll saw artist, experiencing homelessness who continues his art as he seeks permanent housing.
